It’s hard to believe how young this city actually is — in just a few decades, it transformed from a small village into a modern metropolis. KL is energetic, colorful, full of contrasts: futuristic skyscrapers rise next to historic temples, and the aroma of street food mingles with the buzz of the city.

During our two-week journey through West Malaysia — in collaboration with Pangea Travel and The Tourism Board of Malaysia — we explore the very best this country has to offer. Our first stop: Kuala Lumpur!

Here we visit the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, Independence Square, Kampung Baru, and beautiful mosques and temples that reflect the country’s multicultural soul. We even hop on a bike with MikeBikes, a Dutch company offering an unforgettable cycling experience through this fascinating city.
