About Wout
Hey there! How nice that you take a look at my page and apparently love traveling as much as I do. My name is Wout and I am the creator of the travel show Wout of the World. Of course, this didn’t happen overnight. From an early age I looked forward to that exciting moment; my mother waking me up to go to the airport in the middle of the night. We’re going on holiday again! With a traveling mother from South Africa and a father who studied Russian and has now been living in U++ As soon as I was old enough, I wanted to go beyond Europe. See what there is to see on the other side of the world! My first long-distance travels went to the United States and Russia and with some friends I made an extensive road trip through Eastern Europe. In the summers I worked for a club on the Spanish coast and during my University years I spent six months on the tropical island Curaçao. In 2012 I made my first big trip and traveled alone from Beijing to Bangkok, followed by a trip to Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. At that time you could easily call my traveling an addiction. And just like with beer (I’m a real beer lover by the way), it tastes better and better and you want to taste as many new flavors as possible.
