We make a road trip to one of the biggest highlights of Germany. It is the Bastei Bridge!
On the way to this natural wonder of Europe, we pass a very special small town. After all, it is quite a drive to East Germany and we will have to spend the night a few times along the way. In the province of Lower Saxony we find a beautiful place full of history and architecture. Hannoversch Münden is a small town full of half-timbered houses and is therefore one of the most beautiful medieval towns in the world.

I wouldn’t be Wout of the World if we didn’t take a look there too. After Hannoversch Münden we continue towards Dresden, where a natural wonder awaits us. Who would have thought that Europe had such a bizarre mountain range? Saxon Switzerland, as this region is also called, is home to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Centuries ago, residents built villages between the high rocky mountains and even more special: a medieval stone bridge!
