Broome: A beach resort town in The Kimberley
Broome is a beach resort town located in Western Australia’s Kimberley region. This is one of the world’s most beautiful natural regions. The town and area are famous because of the fact that it has the largest Pearling Port in the world. People from all over the world visit Broome. The combination of turquoise waters and coloured red earth is stunning. Broome itself has an amazing sunset at the 22km-long Cable Beach. You can find dinosaur tracks in the red rocks during low tide also.
We are making a road trip of more than a month along the west coast of Australia and have arrived at the last part. From Karijini National Park we visit Port Hedland, Cape Keraudren, 80 Mile Beach, Broome, the Willie Creek Pearl Farm and James Price Point.
Road trip in Western Australia
We take the 4×4 with two rooftop tents, hired at WA Experts and head out into the great outdoors. The road trip starts in Perth and we drive all the way to Broome, but we first make a trip to the Margaret River region. During this Western Australia road trip we also visit Margaret River, Perth, Rottnest Island, Fremantle, The Pinnacles, Kalbarri, Shark Bay, Geraldton, Hamlin Pool, Carnarvon, Ningaloo Reef, Coral Bay, Exmouth and Karijini National Park.
The start and the end point of a road trip
In 2022 we ended our Western Australia road trip in Broome. In 2024, as a family of four, this is the start point of another amazing road trip! We drive all the way from Broome to Darwin with an awesome campervan from Broome & Beyond.
