Ultimate Travel Guide to the Margaret River Region, Western Australia
Margaret River: Australia’s Wine Paradise
Before arriving in Margaret River, we thought we were just making a trip to a wine region. What we discovered was this incredible place where world-class wineries sit next to pristine surf beaches, where you can enjoy stunning beaches in the morning and wine tasting in the afternoon. This sounds like heaven!
Margaret River completely blew our minds. In our video, you’ll see why this region has become one of our absolute favorite places in Australia – and trust us, by the end you’ll be planning your own Margaret River trip!
Our Wine Tasting Experience
We visited Vasse Felix, which holds a special place in Margaret River history as the region’s first winery, established back in 1967. We decided to visit mainly because of this heritage, and we’re glad we did. The cellar door staff were knowledgeable without being pretentious, which we appreciated. We ended up buying a few bottles to take home. Vasse Felix proved to be a solid introduction to Margaret River wines, and we’d recommend it to anyone wanting to understand what makes this region special.
