This is the travel guide to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. This is a must-visit for its beautiful landscapes and views. There are many tea plantations between the mountains, but you will also find strawberry farms and lots of other fruits. Due to its climate, the Cameron Highlands have mossy jungles and misty peaks all in one place. Near the village of Brinchang we stay at Strawberry Park Resort, the most beautiful hotel in the area with fantastic views over the valley. After an earlier city trip in Kuala Lumpur, a visit to the jungle in Taman Negara and this experience in the Cameron Highlands, we travel on to the ‘Pearl of the Orient’ Penang. We then conclude the adventurous route on the beautiful island of Langkawi!
Practical Travel Tips for the Cameron Highlands
✅ Best time to visit: February–April or September–November (pleasant temperatures and fewer crowds)
🚙 Getting there: Rent a car or take a bus from Kuala Lumpur (about 3–4 hours)
🌿 Don’t miss: Tea plantations, Mossy Forest, Boh Tea Centre, strawberry farms, and local markets
🏡 Where to stay: Strawberry Park Resort
💡 Travel idea: Bring a jacket — it can get surprisingly cool! Combine this stop with Ipoh or Penang for a great mountain-to-coast experience.
