I’m sure this video will get Koh Samui on your list. On a trip to Thailand you should definitely not skip Koh Samui. We stay in Lamai and visit Coral Cove Beach and Silver Beach. We also dive into the jungle to the Magic Garden and the Na Muang waterfall. We then sail by boat to heaven on earth, hundreds of small islands in And Thong! Lamai Beach
We stayed on Lamai Beach, one of our favorite areas on the island. It’s less crowded than Chaweng but still lively enough, with beach bars, cozy restaurants, and a great local vibe. It’s the perfect balance between peace and energy — ideal for families, couples, and long-term travelers alike. Soft sand, calm waves, and plenty of places to relax under the palms. Lamai is perfect for swimming and evening walks, and it offers some of the best sunrise views on the island.
Practical Travel Tips for Koh Samui
Best time to visit: January–April (dry season – sunny skies and calm seas)
Getting there: Fly to Koh Samui Airport (USM) or take a ferry from Surat Thani or Koh Phangan
Don’t miss: Lamai Beach, Big Buddha, Na Muang Waterfalls, Fisherman’s Village & Ang Thong Marine Park
Where to stay: Lamai Beach for a balance of peace & comfort / Chaweng for nightlife / Bophut for boutique charm

Where to eat: Lamai Walking Street, The Jungle Club, Sabienglae Restaurant
